Yamaha CK61 light master keyboard

With more and more modular synth hardware and software synths, it is very hard to interact with my super small Akai MPK mini.
That’s why I decided to buy a bigger master keyboard that fits into my Jaspers rack.
My decision fell onto the Yamaha CK-61 which was just recently released and weights only 5 kilograms.
It has 3 separate voices with some pretty good presets for that price point, and most important it has drawbars for organ sound ! YES !
Further it has an amazing effects chain section included separately for 3 simultaneous voices.

Akai Force DAW hardware

Tired of sitting in front of a computer twisting knobs with my mouse, I decided to buy the Akai Force as a PC/Mac-less digital audio workstation DAW.

The best part is I can use it for looping, and can simply license multiple instrument plugins with the Force, which can also be used on the mac (one at a time).

The arranger is fantastic and offers so much more compared to a simple launchpad.

most likely I’ll not place it on top of my Yamaha DTX drums

For now, I’ll try to keep it “cable clean” in my shelf above my Technics piano.

Arturia Microfreak

Trying to get in touch with synthesizers back from the days when I was playing with a 808 in my childhood.

Arturia created the perfect entry “drug”, featuring a cheap but packed all in one synthesizer with various engines, filtering, modulation and best of all an integrated Vocoder.

The keyboard is a touch sensitive PCB which offers some expression which you would buy for a lot of money in real hardware keyboards.
